Paint Pals and the Beijing Youth Federation have formed a historic partnership and are organizing a youth art exhibit for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Previously, Paint Pals has held exhibits for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia and the 2004 Games in Athens, Greece with great participation worldwide. We're looking forward to an even greater event in Beijing which will enable young artists from around the globe to showcase their creative messages in an exhibit promoting friendship, goodwill, peace, and understanding across the world.
The Beijing Youth Federation (BYF) was founded in 1949 and is the prime organization representing children and youth in Beijing. It is composed of 29 member organizations which serve over 4,000,000 kids in the city. One of BYF’s goals is extensive communication and cooperation with young people in all other countries.
To date, artwork has been received from over 60 countries and the exhibit will open in Beijing on June 1, 2008 which is National Children's Day in China. Exhibits will also be held at Atlanta's Youth Art Connection Gallery, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and at the United Nations in New York City.
